Who We Are and What We Stand For
Welcome to Savisthri. We are committed to building a just, inclusive, and equitable society where women and communities can thrive with dignity, opportunity, and equal rights. Our work is guided by four key objectives:
Empowering Women through Equality
We promote gender equality by expanding women's access to education, resources, leadership opportunities, and equal participation in decision-making. We believe that empowered women are the foundation of stronger families, resilient communities, and sustainable development.
Establishing Food Security
We work to ensure that everyone has access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food. Through sustainable agricultural practices, community-driven initiatives, and innovative solutions, we help combat hunger while strengthening long-term food security and resilience.
Building an Alternative Economy
We advocate for an inclusive and sustainable economic model that values people over profit. By supporting local enterprises, fair trade, cooperatives, and community-based livelihoods, we help create economic opportunities that are equitable and beneficial for all.
Influencing Government Policy Change
We engage with policymakers and public institutions to advocate for policies that promote social justice, gender equality, economic inclusion, and environmental sustainability. Through collaboration and evidence-based advocacy, we work toward meaningful and lasting policy change.
Our Vision
To build a sustainable and inclusive society where the rights of people from every ethnic community are respected, gender equality is upheld, and every individual has the opportunity to live with dignity and security.
Our Mission
To strengthen a vibrant women's movement that drives sustainable development by empowering communities, preserving local knowledge, and promoting inclusive leadership at every level.
